April 11, 2018 – What a day to remember in the life of Back9 Parlor! Led by the voice-stylings of legendary Seattle sports radio DJ Dave “Softy” Mahler and Hugh Millen, Back9 Parlor played host to a live and spirited broadcast of the drive-time KJR show for the opening day of The Masters, 2019. Our patrons and staff were treated to a rare delicacy of observing sports radio mastery in-person. Great radio, a ton of giveaways, customer KP contests against Soft, and a general jovial extravoganza. We’re very thankful for the great promotion and successful event. Thank you KJR. Thank you Back9 friends and family!
We can’t thank Softy himself enough for being such a great friend and promoter of the Back9. We’re heard so many great compliments of his description and promotion of Back9, but further his interactions with our guests and staff has been nothing short of phenomenal. He’s a real class act all the way around. Besides giving away great prizes on-air to Back9 visitors during the broadcast (Mariner’s tickets, golf balls, free Back9 sim time) he also engaged in KP contests with all challengers during his commercial breaks and following the conclusion of the show. Needless to say … while we encourage all level of golfers to play @ Back9 we think its important that he keep his day job! 🙂 But Maybe that was his play all along? This guy is in it for the people … and the people enjoyed beating his pants off in the KP contest!
On a personal note too, the ownership enjoyed the KJRs engaging interactions with the youth of Back9. Softy gave shout outs to their schools and even let a couple of them interact on the show! These kids were beaming all night and surely had an experience they won’t forget.
So thanks KJR and Softy. We’re thrilled with the quality promotion and the response its driven. We look forward to working further with your class act outfit in the future.
